We have finally completed the new cottage, after a few hiccups. Now that construction is over, we are delighted to offer La Casita for short-term rental once again. It has a brand new thatch roof, and extensive work has been done on all the woodwork. She has never looked better.
The Talamanca coast is the undiscovered gem of Costa Rica, with its pristine beaches, National Parks and Caribbean Spirit.

La Casita is a wood and thatch house set in 2,550 sq.m. (2/3 acre) of lawn and fruit trees, on the edge of the hamlet of Cocles and the Reserva Indigena Kekoldi. The Rio Negro borders one side of the property, as does the path to miles of almost deserted white sand beach just 200 metres away. The flora and fauna in the garden and the house itself combine to create a truly magical spot,

Upstairs, the large loft has king-size and single beds and a lock-up closet. The downstairs bedroom has a queen-size bed, and both have fans and mosquito nets. The living area is on the spacious verandah, with its soaring thatched cathedral ceiling, off which is the fully equipped kitchen. There is a separate mosaic-tiled bathroom, accessed by a covered walkway.

There is an internet cafe, three grocery stores and several excellent, reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance. The facilities and nightlife of Puerto Viejo are only 3km (1.9 miles) away.
