Graham Davis
Graham Davis
was born in 1944 in Kent, England, where he studied at Maidstone College of Art (studying etching under David Hockney) and Chelsea School of Art. He came to Jamaica in 1970 to head the art department at Priory School. He moved to the North Coast in 1979, and was part of the group that found and restored Harmony Hall, where he still acts as Artistic Director. He has exhibited widely in the Caribbean, U.S.A. and Europe. His unusual textures and subjects ranging from flowers and landscapes to architecture, have won him a loyal following He has held 10 solo exhibitions at Harmony Hall, Jamaica and 6 in Antigua. He lives and works at Golden Spring in the hills above St. Ann's Bay.
